The six-day joint exercise Operation Pacific Angel 25-3, held under the directives of the Armed Forces Division and managed by the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), concluded on Thursday (18 September) at BAF Base Zahurul Haque.

According to a press release, the exercise was conducted with the participation of the Bangladesh Air Force and the United States Pacific Air Forces.

At the closing ceremony, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanvir Khan delivered his remarks and took part in a group photo with participants from both nations.

The event was attended by senior military and civilian officials from the US Pacific Air Forces, representatives of the US Embassy, participating BAF officers, and senior officials from all three services.

The exercise began on 14 September at BAF Base Zahurul Haque. The press release noted that the US Pacific Air Forces conduct training exercises worldwide every year. In Bangladesh, BAF helicopters and transport aircraft are regularly deployed for disaster response and emergency missions. Operation Pacific Angel 25-3 focused on enhancing the effective use of these assets during crises and adverse conditions.

The exercise featured one C-130J transport aircraft and one Mi-17 helicopter from the Bangladesh Air Force, along with two C-130J transport aircraft from the US Pacific Air Forces. A total of 150 BAF personnel and 92 US personnel participated, supported by members of the Bangladesh Army and Navy.

Through this joint exercise, the two air forces not only exchanged professional skills and operational experience but also deepened interoperability, strategic cooperation, and mutual trust. Additionally, medical, engineering, and logistics teams provided services to local communities, further strengthening bilateral ties on a humanitarian and sustainable foundation.
