Leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement have revealed plans to launch a new political party by the end of February. The announcement was made during a press conference at their Banglamotor office on Wednesday, with key figures including Jatiya Nagorik Committee Convener Nasiruddin Patwari, Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, and Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Convener Hasnat Abdullah in attendance. They shared that the party will officially be formed this month and aims to reach the people by March.

The leaders highlighted that this marks a historic moment, as it is the first time in 53 years that such a broad coalition is coming together to form a political entity. The movement seeks to transcend traditional voting practices by engaging a wide array of people, including injured protesters from 2024, rickshaw pullers, marginalized communities, and individuals from various religious and age groups. However, they clarified that members of the interim government's advisory council will be excluded from joining the new party.
