SBG Chairman Safwan Sobhan has expressed deep condolences over the death of Khaleda Zia.

Safwan Sobhan, Chairman of Bashundhara Group (SBG), has expressed profound shock and sorrow over the death of BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

In a condolence message, he said that Begum Khaleda Zia’s contributions to the restoration of democracy and her role in shaping Bangladesh’s political history would be remembered with respect and gratitude.

He offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended his deepest sympathies to her grieving family members, admirers, and followers.

Begum Khaleda Zia passed away at 6:00am on Tuesday, 30 December, at the age of 79 while receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital. She was laid to rest beside her husband, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar following her namaz-e-janaza at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Wednesday, 31 December.
