PM, UAE Deputy PM Discuss Expanding Bilateral Ties

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan have stressed the need to further broaden and strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.

The two sides also expressed their interest in expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The two leaders held a meeting at the UAE Mission in New York on Friday, where they discussed ways to deepen the friendly and mutually beneficial ties between the two countries.

They exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, economic partnership, manpower, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was held as part of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s engagements on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
