Jamaat leader: The public will not accept the rehabilitation of the Awami League.

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated on Friday that the people of Bangladesh would not accept any efforts to rehabilitate the Awami League.

In a Facebook post, he described Bangladesh as being at a critical turning point in its history.

"After enduring a prolonged period of fascist rule, the nation received a new Bangladesh as a blessing from Almighty Allah on July 36, 2024. For this, we express our deepest gratitude to Almighty Allah," he wrote.

He further alleged that both domestic and foreign forces that had lost power were attempting to destabilize the country.

In his post, the Jamaat leader underscored the demands of Bangladesh's 180 million oppressed people, including holding accountable those responsible for genocide, supporting the families of the martyrs of 2024, ensuring proper medical care for the injured, disabled students, and youth, and implementing fundamental reforms to rectify the damage of the past 15 years in preparation for a fair election.

At this juncture, the people prioritize justice for the mass killings, he emphasized.

"There is no room for considering anything beyond this," he added.

He urged individuals from all walks of life to remain calm, vigilant, and united, setting aside political differences to act responsibly in the nation's greater interest.
