EU delegation holds meeting with the Prime Minister’s foreign affairs adviser
Erik Kurzweil, Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific at the European External Action Service, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Dhaka’s Tejgaon on Thursday (30 April).
During the discussion, both sides reviewed Bangladesh–European Union relations, including trade, investment, development cooperation, and a range of regional and global issues of shared interest.
They expressed strong interest in further deepening engagement and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors. The talks also covered efforts to strengthen the Bangladesh–EU Comprehensive Partnership Agreement and included a review of Bangladesh’s recent political developments.
Humaiun Kobir underscored the need to make Bangladesh–EU relations more effective and forward-looking, while the EU delegation commended Bangladesh’s development progress and reaffirmed its continued support in the years ahead.
EU Ambassador to Bangladesh Michael Miller was also present at the meeting.
