BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called on the international community to take immediate action to halt the ongoing brutal killings and bloodshed in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement sent to the media, he urged global leaders to raise their voices against Israel's expansionist aggression in Palestine and work towards ensuring peace, stability, and the security of people's lives and property.

Expressing deep concern, Mirza Fakhrul strongly condemned the relentless attacks by the Israeli army, which have resulted in the deaths of numerous Palestinian civilians, including children, in the besieged Gaza Strip over the past several days.

"Even during the holy month of Ramadan, the Palestinian people are facing inhumane and barbaric atrocities. The Gaza Strip has been turned into a slaughterhouse, with indiscriminate airstrikes killing more than a thousand Palestinians, including women and infants, in blatant disregard for international norms and laws," he stated.

He further highlighted that continuous Israeli attacks over the past year have transformed Palestinian land into a barren wasteland, making the region a horrifying site of death and destruction.

Calling the renewed assaults illegal and a heinous crime against humanity despite ceasefire agreements, Mirza Fakhrul reiterated, "The international community must take urgent steps to end the bloodshed in Gaza."

He described Israel's aggression as a deliberate and systematic attempt to annihilate the Palestinian nation, accusing the occupying forces of imposing their dominance with complete disregard for global public opinion.

Mirza Fakhrul also prayed for the departed souls of Palestinians killed in the attacks, extended his deepest condolences to their families, and wished a swift recovery for the injured.
