The CEO of South Korean airline Jeju Air has apologized to the victims of Sunday's plane crash, which claimed the lives of at least 120 people. In a brief media statement, CEO Kim E-bae stressed that supporting the bereaved families is the top priority at this time.

The crash occurred when Jeju Air flight 7C2216, arriving from Bangkok with 181 people on board, landed without wheels, veered off the runway, and exploded upon hitting a wall at South Korea's Muan International Airport. The incident took place around 9 a.m. (0000 GMT) on Sunday, according to South Korea's transport ministry. This marks the deadliest air disaster involving a South Korean airline in nearly three decades, as confirmed by the ministry.
