Khaleda Zia has been cleared of charges in the Niko corruption case

A Dhaka court has found BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and seven others not guilty in the Niko corruption case.

The verdict was delivered by Judge Rabiul Alam of Dhaka’s Special Judge Court 4 on Wednesday. The court had scheduled the ruling date after completing the defense’s arguments and hearings on February 13. During the proceedings, the accused denied all charges.

Khaleda Zia, who is currently receiving medical treatment abroad, was not present in court, and her lawyer, Advocate Aminul Islam, represented her.
