27th BCS: Appeal hearings for 1137 deprived candidates conclude, verdict expected Thursday.

The Appellate Division has scheduled Thursday for its verdict on the appeal filed on behalf of 1137 candidates who were denied appointment in the 27th Bangladesh Civil Service examination.
A five-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed, set the date after hearing three appeal petitions challenging a previous apex court ruling.
Earlier, on July 11, 2010, the Appellate Division delivered a verdict upholding the High Court's decision, which deemed the cancellation of the viva-voce exam in the 27th BCS legally valid for the first time.
