Hasaranga sidelined from T20I series against Bangladesh

Sri Lanka will miss the services of star leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga in the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh, starting Thursday (July 10), after he suffered a hamstring injury to his right leg while batting in the final ODI of the recently concluded series.

Captain Charith Asalanka confirmed that Jeffrey Vandersay has been named as Hasaranga's replacement for the three-match series.

“He’s a massive loss for us—our white-ball superstar,” Asalanka said on Wednesday, noting that Hasaranga had been in fine form with both bat and ball.
