Actress Tanin Subha is on life support and may be taken off it, pending her husband's decision

Actress Tanin Subha has been on life support for about a week. Yesterday evening, Sunday, widespread rumors of her death circulated, but she remains on life support. Her family says she may be taken off the machines at any time. While her heart shows some activity, she is brain dead.

Physicians declared her clinically dead yesterday afternoon and are now waiting for her husband’s decision regarding the removal of life support. Speaking to Prothom Alo this morning, Monday, Tanin Subha’s younger brother, Inzamul Ramin, said, “The doctors have told us they can do no more. Only Allah can bring her back now. Since yesterday, her brain has stopped functioning. Her heart is beating only because of the machine. The doctors have discussed removing life support, but our mother has not yet given permission. Everything now depends on our brother-in-law. We ask everyone to pray for my sister.”

Tanin Subha’s husband, an aircraft pilot, must give his approval before life support can be withdrawn, said her younger brother.

Tanin Subha suddenly fell ill on June 2. She first visited a clinic near her home in Aftabnagar and returned after treatment. However, her condition worsened in the evening. She was admitted to the ICU of a hospital in Banasree, but as her health deteriorated, doctors recommended transferring her to another hospital for advanced care. Around midnight, she was moved to a private hospital in Dhanmondi, where she currently remains on life support.

It is reported that Tanin began experiencing chest pains and sweating, initially thinking it was indigestion and taking medication. She then vomited several times. She is now on life support as advised by doctors, though details of her illness remain unclear.

Tanin Subha started her career in the entertainment industry through advertisements and later acted in plays and films. She made her film debut with ‘Matir Pori’ and went on to act in several other movies, many of which are still awaiting release.
