Second batch of Bangladeshis returns from Iran amid ongoing conflict

Amid the ongoing conflict in Iran, a second group of Bangladeshi nationals returned to Dhaka today.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 32 Bangladeshis who had sought repatriation travelled by road from Tehran to Mashhad before flying to Dhaka via Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Iran coordinated the return and provided necessary assistance throughout the process.

Earlier, 28 Bangladeshis were brought back in the first phase of the government’s efforts to repatriate citizens from Iran amid the deteriorating situation.
