The critically acclaimed Nepali film Missing: Keti Harayeko Suchana is set for a nationwide release in Bangladesh starting July 18, 2025. The film will be screened at all Star Cineplex locations under the SAFTA agreement, with Show Motion Limited importing the title in exchange for the Bangladeshi film No Dorai.

Directed by Dipendra Gauchan, the film stars Srishti Shrestha and Najir Husen in the lead roles. Running two hours and forty minutes, the Nepali-language drama has been praised for its depiction of folk traditions and a cross-cultural romance.

The story follows two individuals who connect via a dating app and agree to meet at a café. However, a sudden and unintended incident unfolds when the man drugs the woman’s coffee and abducts her. What begins as a troubling episode transforms into a journey through Nepal’s diverse geography—from the hills to the lowlands of Madhesh—leading to a gradual shift in their relationship.

Initially terrified, the woman starts to soften as the man introduces her to the beauty and culture of Madhesh. Despite their different ethnic backgrounds, the two fall in love. The film offers a poignant portrayal of the landscapes, traditions, and daily life in Nepal’s southern plains.

After a successful theatrical run in Nepal, Missing: Keti Harayeko Suchana is now set to hit Bangladeshi screens. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Senior Manager (Marketing) at Star Cineplex, confirmed that the film will be shown not only in Dhaka but at all Cineplex branches across the country.
