Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has directed law enforcement agencies to complete all necessary preparations for the 13th National Parliamentary Election by December.

The directive was disclosed by the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, during a press briefing held Wednesday at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.

According to the CA’s Press Wing, the briefing aimed to update the public on the latest developments surrounding the national election.

Shafiqul said the Chief Adviser had set December as the deadline for finalising all election-related preparations. This includes the recruitment and training of 17,000 new personnel for various law enforcement bodies, including the Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and Coast Guard.

He noted that the Chief Adviser has instructed authorities to ensure the recruitment and training processes are completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The Press Secretary also cautioned that attempts may be made to disrupt public order as the election nears. In response, the Chief Adviser has instructed law enforcement to strictly uphold the law in the coming months to maintain a stable and peaceful environment.

Deputy Press Secretary Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad Majumder and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Ahmad Foyez were also present at the briefing.
