Case Filed Against 3,500 Over Attack on Police at Nural Pagla’s Shrine

Police have lodged a case against around 3,500 unidentified individuals after a mob attacked officers and damaged vehicles at the shrine of Nurul Haque, popularly known as Nural Pagla, in Rajbari.

The case was filed on Friday night by Sub-Inspector (SI) Selim Molla of Goaland Ghat Police Station, who is also the complainant.

Goaland Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rakibul Islam confirmed the development on Saturday morning.

He said, “During yesterday’s incident, 10 to 12 of our personnel were injured, and two of our vehicles were vandalised. Following the attack, a case has been filed against 3,000 to 3,500 unidentified individuals. Operations are currently underway to apprehend those involved.”
