"Apprehend the attackers within 24 hours"

The leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement have called for the immediate arrest of those responsible for attacking their members at KUET, demanding action within the next 24 hours. 

During a protest march and rally on the Dhaka University campus in the evening, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement issued an ultimatum in response to the attack. 

The conflict earlier erupted at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, where a clash occurred between the Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement over the issue of banning student politics. The incident left at least 40-45 students injured.

Arif Sohel, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said, "The oppression we fought against has returned. This cruelty takes me back to the time when people in this country were tortured under various pretexts. Bishwajit, a victim of that cruelty, was brutally tortured and killed by 'criminal activists' of Chhatra League."

He continued, "The students and people who were martyred during the July uprising did not die so we could witness such oppression on campus. Anyone trying to engage in criminal activity again will face resistance. We will not compromise. Some of the defeated fascists from August 5 are trying to rehabilitate themselves. If necessary, we will launch another mass uprising like July."

Tariqul Islam, an executive member of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, demanded justice for the students attacked by Chhatra Dal activists at KUET. "The criminals responsible for the attack must be arrested within the next 24 hours," he insisted.
