Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim has confirmed to Daily Sun that he will feature for Peshawar Zalmi in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL), taking the number of Bangladeshi players in the franchise to three.

Tanzid joins fellow pacer Nahid Rana, who had already been drafted, while left-arm seamer Shoriful Islam is also likely to join the squad, subject to receiving a partial No Objection Certificate from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

The left-handed opener heads into the PSL in excellent form, having scored a match-winning century in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final, followed by a superb 108 against Pakistan in the series-deciding One Day International.

Zalmi’s growing interest in Bangladeshi players has been clear this season, with Shoriful emerging as a late inclusion after an outstanding BPL campaign. The seamer took 26 wickets in 12 innings for Chattogram Royals, finishing as the tournament’s top wicket-taker and setting a new record for most wickets in a single season.

Meanwhile, several other Bangladeshi players are also set to appear in the tournament. Mustafizur Rahman has been signed by Lahore Qalandars, where he will be joined by Parvez Hossain Emon, while leg-spinner Rishad Hossain will represent a new franchise in the upcoming edition.
