Stocks Bounce Back in Early Trading
DSEX Rises 15.33 Points, Reaches 4,933.24 at 11:04 AM
Stock indices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange saw an uptick in early trading today, ending a three-day losing streak. The DSEX, the benchmark index, rose by 15.33 points or 0.31 percent, reaching 4,933.24 by 11:04 AM. Meanwhile, the Shariah-based DSES index climbed 0.39 percent to 1,098.51, and the DS30, which includes blue-chip stocks, edged up by 0.02 percent to 1,823.37.
Market turnover, a crucial indicator of activity, stood at Tk 102.34 crore. Out of 395 issues traded, 239 advanced, 86 declined, and 47 remained unchanged.
Genex Infosys saw the biggest increase, rising over 9 percent, while Union Bank experienced the largest decline, falling by 6 percent.
