Qatar to Recruit 725 Bangladeshi Troops: Alam

Qatar is set to recruit 725 Bangladeshi soldiers to serve in various roles across the country, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam announced today. Speaking to BSS on the sidelines of the Earthna Summit 2025 in Doha, Alam stated that the recruitment process is expected to commence within the next two months.
A high-level delegation from Bangladesh, led by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, is currently attending the summit in the Qatari capital. Alam noted that Bangladeshi soldiers have long been serving in Kuwait and highlighted Qatar’s interest in hiring Bangladeshi personnel on a regular basis. He further mentioned that Qatar plans to recruit 725 soldiers every three years, with ongoing efforts to increase this number.
