No signs of sabotage; security forces prepared to handle any situation: Jahangir

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd) affirmed today that law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to handle any situation during Eid-ul-Fitr.

Key Points:

• After visiting the National Eidgah, he assured, "We are ready to tackle any situation."

• Addressing concerns, he reiterated that there is no apprehension of sabotage or attacks.

• He emphasized that any act of sabotage or conspiracy would be dealt with firmly, with public support.

• Approximately 3,500 devotees, including dignitaries, are expected to offer prayers at the National Eidgah on Eid day.

• Law enforcement agencies are on the highest alert around the Eidgah grounds to ensure security.

• He stated that criminals who have fled to Kolkata will face action if they attempt to incite sabotage from there.

• All necessary measures have been taken to safeguard lives and property.

Earlier in the day, Jahangir inspected the overall situation at Sadarghat Launch Terminal and Kamalapur Railway Station.
