NCP Delegation to Hold Talks with US Deputy Assistant Secretary Nicole Chulick

A four-member delegation from the recently established National Citizen Party (NCP) is scheduled to meet Nicole Chulick, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs, this afternoon. The courtesy meeting is set for 3:15 PM at the residence of the Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Gulshan, Dhaka, according to a member of the delegation.

The NCP team will be led by Nahid Islam, Convener of the youth-driven political platform. Accompanying him are Akhtar Hossain, Member Secretary; Samanta Sharmin, Senior Joint Convener; and Dr. Tasnim Jara, Senior Joint Member Secretary.

On the previous day, NCP leaders held a meeting with European diplomats to discuss the party's priorities and the European Union’s support for Bangladesh's democratic transition. Michael Miller, Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Bangladesh, was among those present.

The EU Embassy in Dhaka described the engagement as an “insightful exchange” with the newly formed political entity.
