NBR Recruitment Test Postponed For A Week Due To Durga Puja Holidays

Some of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) recruitment tests have been postponed by a week as their original schedule coincided with the Durga Puja holidays, during which educational institutions remain closed.

The written exams for vacant grade 11 to 16 posts, including higher-level assistant, typist-cum-computer operator, and office assistant-cum-computer typist, have been rescheduled to October 11 instead of October 3.

NBR First Secretary (Board Administration) and Secretary of the Divisional Recruitment Committee, Md Zahid Newaz, confirmed the development in a statement on Sunday.

The exams will take place at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Government Girls' High School in Dhaka, the same venue as originally planned, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Several other NBR recruitment tests are also set for the same day.

Additionally, the written exams for computer operator and data entry/control operator posts (grades 14 to 16) will also be held on October 11. Their preliminary exams took place on Friday, with results published the same day.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education directed that no exams be scheduled in schools, colleges, or universities between September 28 and October 9 due to the Durga Puja festival. The 12-day holiday also covers Fateha-i-Yajdaham, Probarona Purnima, and Lakshmi Puja, during which all educational institutions will remain closed.
