Multiple-entry visas now accessible for Bangladeshi workers
According to the home ministry, the immigration department will oversee the MEV (multiple-entry visa) facility at international entry points for holders of valid passports.

The Malaysian government has announced that multiple-entry visas (MEVs) are now available to Bangladeshi workers, effective from Friday.
According to a report by Free Malaysia Today, the country’s home ministry stated that the initiative aims to improve the management of migrant worker movement and curb the misuse of immigration passes.
Workers from Bangladesh who are already in Malaysia with temporary work visit passes (PLKS) and single-entry visas will not need to apply separately for MEVs, the ministry clarified.
In a statement, the ministry said the MEV facility will be handled by the immigration department at international entry points for valid PLKS holders, and MEVs will be issued during the annual renewal of the PLKS.
The ministry added that this move would also ease the burden on Malaysian missions abroad by reducing the volume of new visa applications.
