Maritime Ports Of Chattogram And Cox’s Bazar Have Been Advised To Hoist Local Cautionary Signal No. 3.

The maritime ports of Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal No. 3 as a low-pressure area persists over the east-central Bay and adjoining Myanmar coast.

According to a special bulletin issued by the Met Office, the system is likely to move north-northwestwards along the Myanmar-Bangladesh coasts.

Under its influence, deep convection is occurring over the northeast Bay, and gusty or squally weather may affect the maritime ports of Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar, as well as the northeast Bay and adjoining coastal regions of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers operating in the northeast Bay have been advised to stay close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
