Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) to launch ‘Women Bus Service’

The government has taken an initiative to introduce a ‘Women Bus Service’ to ensure safer and more comfortable travel for women across the country.

Following the directives of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has begun steps to launch the special bus service for female passengers, according to a notification issued today by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

BRTC has already initiated the necessary preparations to implement the Prime Minister’s directive.

The service will be fully operated by women, with female drivers, conductors and helpers running the buses, the notification added.
