Khalil Exchanges Greetings with Trump on UNGA Sidelines

Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman exchanged greetings with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Dr Khalilur, who is serving as president of the UNGA, shared details of the brief interaction in a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.

“ A personal exchange with H.E. Mr. Donald Trump, President of the United States,” he wrote alongside a photograph of their interaction.

The exchange took place shortly after Trump delivered his address to the UN General Assembly.

According to Dr Khalilur’s post, the US president thanked the Bangladesh foreign minister during the brief interaction.
