Khaleda calls for unity to establish democracy in the future
The BNP chairperson stated that the sacrifices and struggles of party members have not been futile and will not be in vain.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has emphasized the importance of unity in establishing democracy in the future.
Speaking virtually on Monday at a greeting exchange event with senior party leaders on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day, she stressed the need for mutual cooperation and collective efforts to safeguard voting rights.
The event took place at the BNP chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, with the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, joining from London.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir opened the event with a welcome speech, congratulating the acting chairman. Tarique Rahman then extended Eid greetings and invited Khaleda Zia to address the gathering.
In her speech, Khaleda Zia reaffirmed that the sacrifices and struggles of party members have not been in vain and will not go in vain. She called on everyone to work together to uphold the people’s voting rights and extended Eid greetings to the nation.
Overcome with emotion upon reconnecting with party members after a long time, she sought prayers from the people and Allah’s guidance for the journey ahead.
