Former President Abdul Hamid Departs Country
Murder Case Filed Against Abdul Hamid at Kishoreganj Sadar Police on 14 January

Former President Abdul Hamid, who served during the Awami League government, has departed for Bangkok amid legal troubles. Airport sources confirmed that he left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3:05 am on Thursday aboard Thai Airways flight TG340, following his arrival at the airport around 11:00 pm the previous night and completion of immigration formalities. His departure comes just days after a case was filed on 14 January at Kishoreganj Sadar Police Station, naming him among the accused, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, 124 others, and 250 unidentified individuals, over allegations of attacking a rally, opening fire, and engaging in terrorist activities during a student-led anti-discrimination protest.
