Bangladesh Envoy Presents Credentials to Lebanese President

The newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to Lebanon, Major General Muhammad Zubair Salehin, formally presented his credentials to Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday.

The ceremony was attended by Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, senior officials from the President’s Office, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to an official message received.

Following the presentation, Ambassador Salehin held a brief meeting with President Aoun, during which he conveyed greetings from Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Prof Muhammad Yunus.

President Aoun congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and assured full support in the fulfillment of his duties. He also acknowledged Bangladesh’s humanitarian assistance in the aftermath of the Beirut Port explosion, expressing appreciation for the solidarity shown.

Reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to strengthening ties, President Aoun emphasized the importance of elevating bilateral relations with Bangladesh.

Ambassador Salehin echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the excellent relations between the two nations and underlining Bangladesh’s dedication to further enhancing cooperation for the mutual benefit of their peoples.
