Election Commission directs BTV, Betar to ready broadcasting setup for polls schedule

The Election Commission (EC) has indicated that it may announce the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election on Wednesday.

Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin is expected to unveil the schedule in a televised address on Bangladesh Television (BTV).

The EC has already issued letters to state-run BTV and Bangladesh Betar, instructing them to prepare for recording and broadcasting the address.

EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed confirmed the development on Monday (8 December), saying the Commission has asked BTV and Bangladesh Betar to be present on 10 December for the recording.

He added that the exact recording time will be communicated to them later.
