Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the interim government, has called on everyone to break down barriers and unite as a nation.
After attending the main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at the National Eidgah on Monday, he extended his Eid greetings to the people of Bangladesh.
Yunus began his message by addressing expatriate Bangladeshis, followed by well wishes for those who were ill or hospitalized and unable to join the service.
“Eid is a day to bridge distances—a day of closeness and love. Let us celebrate it with deep affection and share this message with all,” he stated.
He further emphasized, “Today is a day to build unbreakable unity. Our goal is to establish a lasting bond of togetherness. This is our aspiration at the Eid congregation.”
The gathering was attended by Religious Affairs Advisor AFM Khalid Hossain, Energy Advisor Fouzul Kabir Khan, Supreme Court justices, diplomats, the Dhaka South City Corporation administrator, politicians, intellectuals, government secretaries, and people from all walks of life.
