There will be no 'Aynaghar' or 'Bhater Hotel' in the DB office.

Rezaul Karim Mallik, the additional commissioner of the DMP's Detective Branch, announced today that there will no longer be any "Aynaghar" (house of mirrors) or "Bhater Hotel" (eatery) in the DB office. Speaking at a "Meet the Press" event at the DMP Media Center, this was his first formal address since taking on the role, during which he pledged to reform the image of the DB. He stated that the "disgraced chapter" of the DB would come to an end, transforming the office into "a place of justice and accountability."
Mallik emphasized that the DB office would no longer be a social gathering spot for celebrities and that any "Bhater Hotel" atmosphere would not be tolerated. Highlighting the importance of accountability, he said, "I, too, am not above accountability. While I serve as the DB chief, I will uphold justice, integrity, and professionalism in my duties."
Regarding the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations, he mentioned that DB officers, dressed in plain clothes, are currently working to ensure the security of temples and puja mandaps.
