The Mirpur-10 metro station is set to reopen tomorrow

The Mirpur-10 metro rail station is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, nearly three months after being vandalized and subsequently shut down in July. Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) Managing Director Mohammad Abdur Rouf shared this update at a press conference today. The station, along with Kazipara, was damaged on July 19 during the student-led quota reform movement, which escalated into a nationwide uprising that led to the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government. Following the unrest, metro rail operations were suspended for over a month.

Former Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader had stated that reopening the stations might take up to a year. While metro services resumed on August 25, the two stations remained closed. Kazipara station reopened on September 20.
