Our primary objective is to transfer power through fair elections: Foreign Adviser
The interim government will step down after transferring power to political parties through a transparent election, he states.

Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain has stated that the primary objective of the interim government is to transfer power to political parties through a free, fair, and impartial election.
“We will step down after transferring power to political parties through a transparent election. Our agenda is clear, and ensuring the country’s overall stability remains our top priority,” he said.
The foreign adviser made these remarks while addressing a view exchange meeting with freedom fighters, public representatives, political leaders, journalists, and civil society members at Belabo Upazila in Narsingdi on Saturday.
Regarding the current bilateral relations with India, he emphasized that Bangladesh seeks good relations with all countries based on equality and mutual respect, and the interim government is working towards achieving this goal.
“We have already sent a clear message to India that we want good relations, but it must be based on mutual and equitable interests,” the foreign adviser added.
