The UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, Abdullah Ali Abdullah Khaseif AlHmoudi, assured that the visa issues for Bangladeshis in the United Arab Emirates will be resolved soon. He made this statement at a reception honoring Bangladesh's Ambassador Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey at the Millennium Plaza Downtown Hotel in Dubai on Monday.

AlHmoudi clarified that the suspension of visas for Bangladeshis was not politically motivated and confirmed that the issue would be resolved between January and February of the coming year. He explained that visa services for Bangladesh and some other countries had been temporarily paused. The number of Bangladeshis living in the UAE has grown from 800,000 to 1.2 million, the largest expatriate community in the country. The event was organized by the Bangladesh Community UAE, with President Moazzem Hossain presiding, and Acting Consul General Ashfaque Hossain also in attendance.

Ambassador Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey highlighted the significance of the student-led July uprising, calling it a golden chapter in both Bangladesh’s and the world’s history. He also expressed optimism that the visa issue would be resolved soon, emphasizing that the strong friendship between Bangladesh and the UAE would not be affected.
