CEC: Total voter count in the country reaches 123.7 million

According to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin, the total number of voters in the country has reached approximately 123.7 million.  

The Election Commission released the final voter list following last year’s update, showing a 1.54 percent increase in the voter count, as reported by local media.  

Speaking at the inauguration of the seventh National Voter’s Day on Sunday at the Election Building, CEC Nasir Uddin shared these details.  

The draft voter list, published on January 2, 2024, had included over 1.8 million new voters. However, some individuals were removed from the list, including deceased voters.
