A 5.1 magnitude earthquake shakes Dhaka and various other parts of the country
An earthquake struck Dhaka and several parts of the country early Friday, sparking panic among residents.
The tremor, reported at 1:23 am, left many startled, according to a UNB report.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) identified the epicenter of the quake in Wazin, Manipur, India. It measured 5.1 on the Richter scale with a depth of 106 kilometers.
The earthquake was also felt in neighboring Myanmar.
