Yunus: National elections expected by December, announced at World Government Summit
He stated that the election will take place after the July Charter is implemented, following the recommendations of the National Consensus Commission.
Chief Adviser Prof. Mohammad Yunus reaffirmed his commitment to conducting the 13th parliamentary election by December this year while speaking at an international forum on Thursday.
"The national election could take place by December following the implementation of the July Charter, based on the recommendations of the National Consensus Commission," he stated at the World Government Summit in Dubai, UAE.
Previously, on 10 February, during a meeting with a BNP delegation, the chief adviser assured that the interim government is actively working toward holding parliamentary elections by December.
