Trump threatens more strikes on Iran if deal not signed “fast”

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that American forces inflicted “major damage” on Iranian targets after three US naval destroyers came under attack, while maintaining that Washington remained open to reaching a deal with Tehran.

“There was no damage to the three destroyers, but significant damage was inflicted on the Iranian attackers,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, describing drones falling “like a butterfly dropping to its grave.”

He also warned of tougher action ahead, saying, “We’ll hit them much harder and far more violently in the future if they don’t sign their deal — FAST!”
