Three Russian Warships Dock at Chattogram on Goodwill Visit

Three Russian Navy warships – REZKIY, Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov, and PECHENGA – arrived at Chattogram port on Sunday for a four-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh. The ships were received by the Chief Staff Officer of the Chittagong Naval Region, along with the Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh, military attachés, the Russian Honorary Consul in Chittagong, and senior officials of the Bangladesh Navy. Earlier, as the Russian fleet entered Bangladeshi waters, the Bangladesh Navy ship Banouza Khalid Bin Walid extended a ceremonial welcome. During their stay, the Russian delegation, including the captains of the visiting warships and the Russian Ambassador, will pay courtesy calls on the Commander Chittagong Naval Area, Commander BN Fleet, and the Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority. The visiting officers and sailors will also lay a wreath at Redkin Point inside the Naval Academy and tour the Navy training base, BN Ashar Alo School for special children, and several historical and scenic locations in Chattogram. Additionally, Bangladesh Navy personnel and students from Navy-run institutions will visit the Russian ships. The visit is expected to strengthen bilateral naval ties, enhance professional exchanges, and foster future cooperation and training opportunities. The Russian warships will depart Bangladesh on April 16.
