Pakistan's Foreign Minister scheduled to visit Bangladesh in April
The upcoming trip by Ishaq Dar to Dhaka marks the first such visit by a Pakistani Foreign Minister in over a decade

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, will pay an official visit to Dhaka this month, confirmed Bangladesh’s Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain. He stated that the visit has been finalised and the exact date will be confirmed in the coming days. During the visit, all aspects of bilateral relations will be discussed. Prior to Dar’s arrival, Pakistan Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch is scheduled to visit Dhaka in the third week of April for talks with her Bangladeshi counterpart, Md Jashim Uddin. This will mark the first visit by a Pakistani Foreign Minister to Bangladesh since 2012. Meanwhile, US Deputy Assistant Secretaries Nicole Ann Chulick from the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, and Andrew R. Herrup from the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, are also set to visit Bangladesh next week to discuss the full spectrum of US-Bangladesh relations.
