Vehicles carrying Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) leaders and activists began arriving at Suhrawardy Udyan from 9:00am, with participants traveling from various parts of the country.

The first session of the rally began at noon, featuring speeches from district and city-level leaders. The main session, attended by top IAB figures, started around 2:00pm.

According to IAB leaders, representatives from other political parties supporting the Proportional Representation (PR) system were also expected to attend the rally.

The event led to significant traffic congestion in the surrounding areas, severely disrupting vehicular movement.

Since the July uprising, IAB has actively campaigned for electoral reform, justice, and the adoption of a PR-based voting system. Party leaders said they have engaged in dialogue with other political groups and established a degree of coordination on these shared demands.

The main session is being presided over by IAB Ameer Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim.
