The Trump administration has requested the Supreme Court to deliver an "expedited" ruling on the tariffs

On Wednesday, the Trump administration urged the US Supreme Court to quickly take up its appeal of a lower court decision against the president’s tariffs, arguing that the ruling has already harmed delicate trade talks.

In a motion filed with the court, Solicitor General John Sauer wrote, “The Solicitor General respectfully requests that this Court expedite resolution of this case to the greatest extent possible, given the critical importance of promptly affirming the full legal authority of the President’s tariffs,” while seeking oral arguments by early November.
