Tarique Rahman has signed his nomination papers to contest from the Dhaka-17 and Bogura-6 constituencies
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Sunday signed his nomination papers to contest as the party’s candidate in the Dhaka-17 and Bogura-6 constituencies in the upcoming 13th National Election.
The signing ceremony was held at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office on Sunday evening, attended by party coordinators from both constituencies. Earlier in the day, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s private secretary, ABM Abdur Sattar, collected the nomination form for Dhaka-17 on Tarique’s behalf from the office of Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Sharf Uddin Ahmed Choudhury at around 11:10am, according to BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
Meanwhile, the BNP had collected a nomination form for Tarique Rahman from the Bogura-7 constituency on 21 December ahead of the election.
Party sources said the nomination papers for both the Dhaka-17 and Bogura-6 constituencies are scheduled to be submitted on Monday.
