PM presides over National Economic Council meeting

A meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) is underway with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in the chair.

The meeting began at 10:00am today at the Bangladesh Planning Commission Auditorium in the capital’s Agargaon area, according to the Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary, Jahidul Islam Rony.

Discussion on the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the 2026–27 fiscal year is on the meeting agenda.

The NEC meeting is scheduled to continue until 1:00pm. A press conference will be held afterwards to brief the media on the outcomes of the meeting.
