The BNP has announced a seven-day programme beginning on 25 May.
The Ziaur Rahman-founded Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a seven-day programme from 25 May to 1 June to observe the martyrdom anniversary of the party’s founder, martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
The programme was announced on Monday morning at a press conference held at the party’s central office in Naya Paltan by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and adviser to the party chairperson, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
He said the party had planned a series of programmes from 25 May to 1 June. “As Eid-ul-Azha falls during this period, observing any of the programmes a day or two later will also be considered acceptable,” he said.
Under the programme schedule, the BNP will organise a discussion meeting at 2:00pm on 31 May at Ramna under the party’s initiative.
