The country’s youth believe that the BNP will win 39% of the votes, Jamaat-e-Islami 21%, and the newly formed National Citizen Party (NCP) 16% in the upcoming general election, according to a survey conducted by the South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM), unveiled on Monday.

SANEM, a non-profit research organization, released the findings ahead of the 13th parliamentary election, expected to take place about a week before Ramadan in February next year.

The survey reflects the opinions of 2,000 individuals aged 15 to 35, drawn from all eight divisions across the country.

According to the report, the BNP emerged as the leading choice among respondents with 39% support, followed by Jamaat in second place and the NCP in third.

For its methodology, SANEM selected two districts from each division and surveyed individuals with varying educational backgrounds—40% with less than SSC qualifications and 60% with SSC or higher. Respondents were evenly split between urban and rural areas.

The findings also indicate that the Jatiya Party is expected to receive 3.77% of the vote, while other religious political parties may collectively secure 4.59%.

If allowed to contest, the Awami League is projected to gain 15.02% of the vote, the report added.
