Prime Minister seeks support from BNP grassroots leaders in implementing election pledges.
Tarique Rahman on Saturday sought the cooperation of grassroots leaders to help implement the party’s election manifesto.
“The government cannot succeed without the support and coordination of the party. We must now begin a new struggle to fulfil all the promises made to the people before the election,” he said.
The BNP chairman added, “One phase of our struggle has ended, and another has now begun — the struggle to deliver on the commitments we made to the people.”
He made the remarks while delivering the opening speech as chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with grassroots leaders of BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh auditorium in the capital’s Farmgate area.
The closed-door meeting began around 10:45am under the slogan “Sobar Agee Bangladesh” (Bangladesh First).
