Prime Minister departs Dhaka for Malaysia
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman departed Dhaka for Malaysia on Sunday on an official visit at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
He left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:45pm on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight bound for Kuala Lumpur, accompanied by his wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with Malaysian leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and opportunities for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.
Several cabinet members, advisers, senior government officials and members of the Prime Minister’s personal staff are accompanying him on the trip.
The visit, undertaken at the invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, is expected to further deepen and strengthen the longstanding ties between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
